It's been a crazy few weeks, my boyfriend and I just moved in to our new place! Before we moved I cooked us one last dinner in his parents house and it was a hit. Chicken, sausage and multiple sauces came together in a delicious meal served with a simple garden salad. Easy to cook, this meal is something I will be cooking repeatedly.
Ingredients
* 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs
* 1 lb smoked turkey sausages
* 1 medium red onion, finely sliced
* 1 tbsp minced garlic
* Extra Virgin Olive Oil
* 1 block cream cheese
* 1 jar Alfredo Sauce
* 1 jar traditional tomato marinara
* 1 tbsp pepper
* 2 tsp salt
* 2 tsp red pepper flakes
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* 2 tsp oregano
* 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
* 1 tsp chives
* 2 tsp +1 tbsp parsley
* 1 cup shredded mozzarella
Directions
Slice up sausages and chicken into bite size chunks. While slicing meat, heat a drizzle of oil over medium heat. Once sizzling, add in minced garlic and 1 tsp red pepper flakes. Stir to flavor oil and add in chicken, half of onion, and seasonings, reserving 1 tbsp of parsley.
Cook chicken thoroughly on all sides to just done, adding sausages about halfway through cook time (right after flipping chicken over.)
cook all the way through, then add in cream cheese, and half of both sauces. Cook until cheese is melted and bubbling, then add in remaining sauce.
Cook over low heat another 5-10 minutes until heated through. I served this over vegetable noodles with a simple salad. Top the pasta with shredded mozzarella and parsley.
