Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta

2020 has been a difficult year for so many, and one of the things people love to do is get together over a meal. With quarantines having so much shut down (or even worse, closing their doors for good) it's putting even more of a damper on people spirits. I have been working my own twists on to some of our favorite dishes as a way to somewhat feel like we are enjoying the full experience of a restaurant while still saving money and being at home. We both love Bonefish Grills Bang Bang Shrimp, but I wanted something to be more of an entree, and didn't want breaded shrimp AND pasta. This is what I came up with, I hope you enjoy!!

Ingredients

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce

2 tsp Sriracha, depending on taste

2 tsp honey

1 tsp lime juice

1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp minced garlic

1 tbsp crushed red pepper

salt and pepper

8 oz dry fettucine

2 tsp chopped parsley

Directions

Combine mayo, chili sauce, sriracha, honey and lime juice. Refrigerate to blend. Heat oil in pan over medium heat. Stir in garlic and red pepper, saute about 2 minutes. Add shrimp and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Saute until shrimp are pink and cooked through. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water, do not rinse. Combine shrimp, pasta and sauce. Mix well, and sprinkle with parsley. This goes well with garlic bread and a side salad.

I hope you give this a try! Let me know what you think!
