One of the best parts of Chinese take out or delivery is the egg roll. A delicious crispy shell filled with warm veggies and soy sauce that add to any meal ordered. I don't always want to order take out when I really just want egg rolls, so I experimented and came up with these that I have been told are better than take out any day. Try and see for yourself!
Ingredients
* 18 egg roll wrappers * 1 bag coleslaw mix * 4 tbsp lite soy sauce * 1 tsp Chinese five spice * 2 tsp ground mustard * 1 tsp ground ginger * oil for frying
* Water for sealing
Directions
In a large bowl mix coleslaw, soy sauce, five spice, mustard and ginger, let sit 5-10 minutes.
Preheat deep fryer or pan with oil. Place 1 tbsp coleslaw mixture in wrapper and roll tightly. Use small drop of water on remaining corner before finishing wrap to seal. Fry 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
These go excellent with my homemade Beef and Broccoli, stay tuned for that post!
