Philly Cheese Fries

Combining two loves and two previous posts, after a day out and about with my boyfriend and his cousin, and being thoroughly terrified while going to see IT, I decided to make another loaded fries. This time I decided on Philly Cheese steak, as my boyfriend will get this most times we go out. With all the taste of a cheese steak in an easier to maintain meal than a sandwich that usually falls apart (all good steak sandwiches do) this quick to prepare meal will have them asking for seconds. Using ground beef instead of steak guarantees a more even distribution and makes this even faster. I personally love condiments, so much so that my family jokes I eat food just so I can dip it in something. For additional toppers you could use Ketchup, Heinz 57, A1, Mayo or even hot sauce.

Ingredients

*1 lb ground beef *1 large sweet onion *2 green peppers *2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce *1 tbsp A1 sauce *2 tsp + 1 tbsp pepper *2 tsp salt *4 tbsp paprika *1 stick butter *1/2 cup flour *2 cups milk *1 lb sharp cheddar cheese *1 bag crinkle cut fries

Directions

Brown ground beef over medium heat. As beef browns slice up onion and peppers and sauté with half stick of butter.

Meat pre-draining

Preheat oven to 450. As oven preheats, and meat and vegetables cook, melt remaining butter over high heat and add flour.

Stir continuously 3-4 minutes until thickened. Add in milk and stir until flour dissolves and add cheese. Stir in cheese until melted and turn heat on low. Stir in 1 tbsp pepper, salt and paprika and let simmer.

Drain hamburger and stir in remaining pepper, A1 and Worcestershire. Cook fries according to package directions. Layer all ingredients.

Heinz is a household staple in my home, but these are not paid promotions. I hope you enjoy these fries as much as we did!
