Alaskan Kenai Cheese Dip

We are moving through the states alphabetically, and next on our Dinin' USA tour, we stop in Alaska. This was a hard decision between Alaskan fry bread, pollock sliders or this dip, but everyone was raving about the Kenai cheese dip so I decided to go with the majority and give this dip a try. This was mentioned as delicious on burgers so we used it as a topping and tried out our new air fryer for the burgers and fries. I LOVE that air fryer and am only sorry I didn't have one sooner! As for the dip, it was good, but I don't like mayo unless it is really blended so would probably cut this with a little Miracle Whip next time to cut down on the mayo taste.

Alaskan Flag

Ingredients

* 1 cup mayonnaise

* 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese

* 1/4 cup chopped jalapeno peppers

* 1 tsp garlic salt

* 1 tsp cayenne pepper

* 1/2 tsp black pepper

* 1 tsp liquid smoke

* 1/2 tsp salt

Directions

Mix mayo, spices and liquid smoke. Blend in cheese and jalapenos, mixing well but not over mixing. Refrigerate for at least one hour for flavors to blend.

Again, this was good, but I have never liked mayo and usually cut it with Miracle Whip. To stay true to the recipe I didn't cut it but next time I will. It's good enough that I will be making this again, however.
